About IIT Guwahati
IIT Guwahati sits on a 700-acre campus on the northern bank of the Brahmaputra River — the only IIT whose daily backdrop is one of Asia's great rivers rolling past the foothills of Assam. Founded in 1994 as the sixth IIT, it carries a distinct mandate as the premier technical institution for Northeast India, drawing students from across the seven sisters and beyond. Each January the campus transforms for Alcheringa, the cultural festival launched in 1996 that has grown into one of the largest college fests in the region [¹]. September belongs to Techniche, the annual techno-management festival that runs the Guwahati Half Marathon and Technothlon, a national school-level science competition [²]. Hostels are named after the rivers and tributaries that define the Northeast — Brahmaputra, Lohit, Subansiri, Manas, Barak, Siang, Kameng, and a dozen more — giving even the room address a geographic poetry. Notable alumni include Vivek Ramachandran (ECE, cybersecurity researcher, founder of Pentester Academy and SquareX) and Ankit Nagori (co-founder of CureFit). About our Varsity Jackets
Wool-blend body (60% wool, 40% polyester) with ribbed knit trim on collar, cuffs, and hem. Classic varsity cut — slightly boxy, with a snap-button front. The sleeves are synthetic PU for structure. Spot-clean or dry-clean only for the body; machine-wash the detachable patches separately. Chest carries institute initial, back has batch year or dept name — built to look good five years from now, not just at placement week.

Do you deliver to IIT Guwahati hostels in Assam?
Yes — shipments to IIT Guwahati typically take 6–8 business days given the Assam location. We are not the official merchandise vendor for Alcheringa or Techniche — those are managed by the respective fest committees on campus.
