About IIT Jammu
IIT Jammu is one of the youngest IITs in the country, formally inaugurated on 6 August 2016 with IIT Delhi as its mentor institution [¹]. It is among a handful of central technical institutes operating in the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir, making it a landmark presence in the region. The permanent 400-acre campus sits in Jagti village, Nagrota Tehsil — nestled at the foothills of the Shivalik range, about 6–7 km from Jammu city on NH-44, with the Trikuta Mountains as the backdrop and Vaishno Devi Katra just 55 km away [²]. The transit campus, operational since August 2017, was the first among the newer IITs to provide full on-campus hostel facilities for its students. Anhad is the institute's flagship annual techno-cultural fest — a five-day event blending performances, competitions, and engineering showcases that has quickly become the highlight of campus life [³]. With around 1,200 students and strong research focus areas in sustainable energy, AI, and defence technology, IIT Jammu is a fast-rising campus with a view most IITs can only dream of.
About our Varsity Jackets
Wool-blend body (60% wool, 40% polyester) with ribbed knit trim on collar, cuffs, and hem. Classic varsity cut — slightly boxy, with a snap-button front. The sleeves are synthetic PU for structure. Spot-clean or dry-clean only for the body; machine-wash the detachable patches separately. Chest carries institute initial, back has batch year or dept name — built to look good five years from now, not just at placement week.

Do you deliver to IIT Jammu's Jagti campus in J&K?
Yes — we deliver to IIT Jammu's permanent campus at Jagti, Nagrota, Jammu. J&K deliveries typically take 6–8 business days from dispatch. In winter months (December–February), heavy fog along NH-44 or occasional snowfall in the Shivalik foothills can add 2–3 days to courier schedules, so we recommend ordering early and tracking your parcel closely. When is IIT Jammu's convocation, and should I order ahead?
IIT Jammu holds its annual convocation in October — the 6th Convocation was held on 11 October 2025. If you want hoodies, tees, or keepsakes for the ceremony, place your order at least three weeks in advance to account for production time and J&K shipping. Batch or department bulk orders (15+ units) need an additional 10–14 days of production lead time, so reach out to bulk@iitianvibes.com well before the date is announced each year.
Do you sell Anhad fest merchandise?
We are not the official merchandise vendor for Anhad — IIT Jammu's annual techno-cultural fest — as that is managed by the student committee. What we offer is year-round IIT Jammu-themed merchandise: Jagti campus prints, Shivalik foothills and J&K-inspired designs, hostel gear, and campus-culture references that work any time of year. So whether Anhad is next week or six months away, you can rep your campus without waiting for the fest calendar.
Can we place a bulk order for a hostel, club, or department at IIT Jammu?
Absolutely. For orders of 15 or more units we offer bulk pricing and can accommodate custom prints — hostel names, club logos, department text (e.g., CSE '28, Mechanical, Civil), or batch year. Lead time for bulk orders is 10–14 business days from artwork approval, plus 6–8 days shipping to Jagti. Plan for roughly three weeks end-to-end.
