6-panel structured cap in 100% brushed cotton twill with a pre-curved brim and adjustable plastic back strap. One size fits most. The front panel carries a single embroidered design — either institute name, dept abbreviation, or batch year. Embroidery is stitched at 4,000+ stitch density so the edges stay sharp after regular wear. Spot-clean with a damp cloth, do not machine-wash.

Before the IIT system existed, there was Roorkee. Founded in 1847 to train surveyors for the Ganga Canal, the Thomason College of Civil Engineering is the oldest engineering institution in Asia — older by a century than the IIT Act [¹]. It became the seventh IIT in 2001, first created by upgrading an existing university [¹].
