The pronite line-up is not out, pass prices are not out, and any page telling you otherwise is recycling last year's festival. We will update this page as the organisers announce.
What is actually confirmed
The official Rendezvous account, which has around 44,800 followers, carries the dates in its bio: "One of Asia's Largest College Cultural Festival / A Riot of Fusions / 28th Sept- 1st Oct, 2026". There is a "DATE RELEASE" highlight on the same profile. We checked this directly on 9 August 2026.
One caveat worth stating plainly: this is an announcement by the student organising team on their own channel, not a formal IIT Delhi press release. Fest dates occasionally shift by a few days between the first announcement and the final schedule. Treat 28 September – 1 October as firm enough to book leave and loose enough to reconfirm in September.

Why this matters. Search for "Rendezvous 2026 line-up" right now and you will find pages confidently listing artists. Every one of them is either repeating the 2025 acts or inventing. Seven weeks out is genuinely early for a fest line-up — Rendezvous usually reveals pronites in the final three to four weeks. If you are planning travel around a specific artist, you cannot yet.
The campus ambassador route — open right now
This is the one thing you can act on today, and it is the most useful route for outstation students. Applications for the Rendezvous Campus Ambassador Programme are live on Unstop.
The programme has historically run in multiple phases. In 2025 the organisers posted: "Phase II of Rendezvous'25 Campus Ambassador Programme is here! After an overwhelming response in Phase I, we're opening registrations once again." Ambassadors typically receive passes, certificates and merchandise in exchange for promoting the fest on their own campus.
The practical argument for applying even if you do not care about the title: ambassadors get pass and accommodation information before it goes public, which matters at a festival where accommodation is capped and first-come-first-served.
Passes and accommodation
Neither is announced for 2026. Here is the 2025 pattern so you can plan.
Accommodation is the constraint, not the pass. IIT Delhi does not put outstation attendees in campus hostels for Rendezvous. In September 2025 the organisers stated: "We have limited accommodation available outside campus, and registrations will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis." That is off-campus, capped, and gone quickly.
If you are travelling from outside Delhi, the realistic plan is to book your own stay near Hauz Khas, IIT Gate or Green Park rather than wait for fest accommodation to open. Prices in that area rise noticeably during fest week. Booking in early September for a late-September fest is not premature.
The flagship events
These recur every year. Treat them as very likely rather than confirmed for 2026 — the organisers have not published the 2026 schedule.
- Blitzkrieg — the western battle-of-the-bands competition, described by the organisers as "one of the oldest and biggest Western Battle of the Bands competitions in India." Historically the marquee competitive event.
- Lifestyle — the fashion show, which "unites a stellar lineup of designers, models, makeup artists, and choreographers."
- Pronites — the headline evening concerts, one per night. This is what most outstation attendees come for.
- Competitive roster — slam poetry, street play, a pop-culture quiz, Model UN, live magazine making, and regional-culture events.
Past pronite acts give a sense of the booking tier: Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, Nucleya, Sonu Nigam and Guru Randhawa have all played Rendezvous, and Hoobastank headlined back in 2013. In 2025, Shalmali Kholgade played a pronite alongside a Qawwali night.
How big is it, really
Rendezvous bills itself as one of Asia's largest college cultural festivals. The commonly cited figures are 160,000+ attendees and students from 1,200+ colleges.
Worth knowing where those numbers come from: they appear in the festival's own sponsorship materials and are repeated on its Wikipedia entry. They are not independently audited attendance counts, and no fest in India publishes one. Read them as the organisers' own scale claim — directionally useful, precisely unverifiable. The same caveat applies to every Indian college fest's footfall number, including the ones we quote for Mood Indigo and Saarang.
Which edition is this?
Probably the 51st, but we are not going to state it as fact. Rendezvous was inaugurated in 1976, and student press covering the 2025 edition described it as the 50th. That arithmetic makes 2026 the 51st. The organisers have not said so themselves, and festivals frequently skip or merge editions — Saarang's official edition count, for instance, does not match a simple subtraction from its founding year. We will confirm the number when the organisers publish it.

The single most reliable source through all of this is the official Instagram account. IIT Delhi's own website carries almost nothing about Rendezvous, and the domain many older articles link to no longer resolves — rendezvous.iitd.ac.in returns a DNS failure. The live site is rendezvousiitd.in.
If you are going from outside Delhi
- Book your stay before passes go on sale. Accommodation near IIT Delhi is the binding constraint, and fest accommodation is capped and off-campus.
- Nearest Metro is Hauz Khas on the Yellow and Magenta lines, a short auto ride from the main gate. IIT Gate is on the main road; expect heavy congestion on pronite evenings.
- Carry a college ID. Every Indian college fest gates entry on student identification, and Rendezvous is no exception.
- Do not buy from resellers. Pass prices are not out. Anyone selling Rendezvous 2026 passes today is selling something that does not exist yet.
