About IIT Bhilai
Founded on 7 August 2016, IIT Bhilai is one of India's newest IITs — established in Chhattisgarh, the heartland of India's steel industry [en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indian_Institute_of_Technology_Bhilai]. The institute sits in Bhilai, a city synonymous with the iconic Bhilai Steel Plant (SAIL), a symbol of post-independence industrialisation built with Soviet collaboration and still one of India's largest integrated steel producers [en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bhilai_Steel_Plant]. Since August 2023, IIT Bhilai occupies its own 445-acre permanent campus in Kutelabhata village, Durg district — a five-star GRIHA-rated, eco-friendly campus designed to eventually house 12,000 students. The institute currently runs eleven departments spanning engineering, sciences, and liberal arts, and has forged a formal industry-academic MoU with the Bhilai Steel Plant for joint research and internships. Student life is anchored by Meraz, the annual techno-cultural festival, and Prayatna, the intra-institute multi-sport meet. Being founded in 2016, IIT Bhilai's alumni community is young, ambitious, and rapidly expanding.

How long does delivery take to IIT Bhilai's Kutelabhata campus?

When is the IIT Bhilai convocation, and should I order merch in advance?
IIT Bhilai typically holds its annual convocation in October–November. The institute held its 3rd and 4th combined convocation in October 2024 and its 5th convocation in November 2025. Because cohorts are still relatively small, personalised grad-season merchandise is popular. We recommend placing your order at least 10–14 days before the ceremony to allow for production and delivery to the Kutelabhata campus.
Do you sell official Meraz fest merchandise?
No — our merchandise is not officially affiliated with Meraz or IIT Bhilai's student bodies. We offer custom IITBH-themed apparel (institute name, Kutelabhata campus, batch year, department) designed and fulfilled independently. If you want personalised gear to wear or sell at Meraz, our design studio lets you create it yourself in minutes.
Can we place a bulk order for our batch, department, or club?
Yes. For orders of 15 or more items, write to us at bulk@iitianvibes.com with your design requirements, sizes, and quantity. Bulk orders typically take 10–14 business days from artwork approval to delivery. We support group orders for convocation batches, department associations, hostel groups, and Meraz volunteer or organiser teams.
Can I customise a product with my department, hostel, or batch year?
Absolutely. Our design studio supports full customisation — add your department (e.g., CSE, EE, ME), hostel name, batch year, or any IITBH-themed text and graphics. You can upload your own artwork or use our AI design tools. Customised items are made to order, so please allow an additional 3–5 days over standard delivery timelines.
