About IIT Goa
IIT Goa is the only IIT in India's smallest — and most sea-facing — state, which means the drone research lab and the Arabian Sea are roughly an hour apart. Established on 30 July 2016 with an inaugural batch of 85 students across three disciplines, it was mentored by IIT Bombay for its first three years [¹]. The institute operates from a transit campus at Goa Engineering College, Farmagudi, Ponda — about 29 km from Panaji — while its permanent site at Melauli, Sattari, where land was transferred in May 2020, takes shape [¹]. Do you deliver to IIT Goa's Farmagudi campus?
Yes — we deliver to IIT Goa's transit campus at Goa Engineering College, Farmagudi, Ponda, Goa – 403401. Standard delivery from dispatch typically takes 4–5 business days. Goa is very well-connected for courier services, but note that the monsoon season (roughly June–September) can cause 1–2 day delays on some routes due to heavy rain and localised flooding. Include your hostel name, room number, and the Farmagudi PIN in your shipping address, and double-check at checkout as the transit campus sits inside GEC premises.
When is the IIT Goa convocation, and should I order merch ahead?
IIT Goa has held its annual convocation events in recent years — the 2024 and 2025 convocations are confirmed on the institute's official website. Exact dates for each cycle are announced by the institute a few months in advance. Because IIT Goa is a young institute (founded 2016), graduating batches are still relatively small, making custom grad-season gear — hoodies with your batch year, department tees — particularly popular. Place your order at least two weeks before the ceremony; bulk or custom batch orders need 10–14 business days from artwork approval, so reach out early to bulk@iitianvibes.com.
Do you sell Cepheus or Cultrang fest merchandise?
We are not the official vendor for Cepheus (IIT Goa's annual technical fest) or Cultrang (the inter-college techno-cultural fest) — those committees manage their own merchandise during the events. What we carry is year-round IIT Goa-themed gear: campus prints, Arabian Sea and Goa-inspired designs, department pieces, and batch customisation. Cepheus typically runs in the autumn semester, but you can rep IITG any time without waiting for the fest calendar.
Can we place a bulk order for a hostel, club, or department at IIT Goa?
Absolutely. For orders of 15 or more units we offer bulk pricing and can add custom text — hostel names, club or committee names, department abbreviations (CSE, EE, ME, Mathematics & Computing), or batch year. Lead time is 10–14 business days from artwork approval, plus 4–5 days shipping to Farmagudi. Can I customise a piece with my department, batch year, or a Goa-specific design?
Yes. Bulk orders (15+ units) are the most cost-effective route — mention your department (e.g., CSE '27, EE '28) or hostel identifier when you write to bulk@iitianvibes.com and we'll work it into the design. For single-unit custom requests — say, a graduation gift with a Goa coastline or Farmagudi campus motif — we handle these case by case.
